Michigan’s first network tied-arch bridge was fabricated by Veritas Steel’s Eau Claire and Wausau facilities in 2019, assembled in a parking lot at Wayne State University, and moved into place over a week-long closure of I-94 through downtown Detroit. This unique complex bridge structure was comprised of welded box arches connecting to cable hanger weldments in a hybrid deck of concrete tie girders and steel floorbeams.
