Alabama Arch

Designed to replace an existing arch on the interstate’s eastbound side, this arch was fabricated by Veritas’ Palatka, Florida plant for general contractors Brasfield and Gorrie. Roughly 291 tons of steel, the new Alabama Arch features 8 arch members (4 on each side) with inorganic zinc shop primer. The steel components were delivered to the job site in February 2021—with zero field fit-up issues.
