Veritas Steel is proud to play a role in the replacement of the historic Chain of Rocks Bridge connecting St. Louis, MO, and Granite City, IL. On the National Register of Historic Places, the unique plate girder bridge has 10 units with east and westbound spans of 5 units each. The bridge contains 596 plate girders and over 15,000 tons of steel.

Fabricated in all three Veritas facilities, the bridge has a three-coat paint system with metalized portions. The eastbound spans shipped complete this summer and westbound spans are scheduled to ship complete in late spring of 2026.
